Sinds Januari 2023 steunt Muziek voor Kinderen Africa Music School (AMS) bij de lessen op de Cevic School for the Blind. Afgelopen week kregen wij de eerste foto’s en updates! Hier een deel van dat verslag:
“8 of the children are learning brass instruments which include trumpets, and trombone. They are taught by Tr. Ismail who is also blind, there is also Teacher Denis at Cevic training the choir in singing and dancing. In total, the music outreach at Cevic is reaching out to 38 children with a visual impairment impacting them with a music skill. The children say, the music activity is their favorite at school. They have attained self-confidence and have been empowered through music.”
Ook Claire en Tony, onze 2 saxofoondocenten, zijn bij AMS begonnen. Claire geeft 3 keer in de week saxofoon- en blokfluitles, en Tony geeft 1 keer in de week pianoles.
